  • Digital art comic. Roxie flips the shower faucet on and water comes running out of the faucet up above. She tests the water to see that it's the appropriate temperature and begins showering. To her misfortune, the showerhead breaks and falls on top of her head. She yells "PUTA!" out loud.

  • A woman comes out of the shower with a towel covering her body. Her hair is all tangled up and her skin is wet. A muted but furious expression can be seen on her face. A radio blasts the rant of a DJ in the background: "That was Ashes A.D with their new single Black Tides! You're listening to Gutter Cruiser radio! When you were listening to those sweet tunes, I got some info on that scoop I just mendioned a moment ago. I gotta preface this shit a little bit... you know what a blacksite is? Yeah, I can hear you scratching your dome, but don't worry, I got you choom. Basically when a corpo or a nation wants to incarcerate some folks who keep stepping on their toes or ask too many "questions", they haul them off to a place in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. What the fuck do they do to those people?! You can bet your chrome ass that they don't offer them lolipops and cotton candy in there. Nope it's much worse. Torture, murder, slave labor, sexual violence... So where am I going with all of this? Well...

  • Digital art comic. A radio alarm clock on the table blasts a rogue radio newscast: "It turns out that there was one of these corporate blacksites just fifty clicks to the north of Night City. Yup... You heard right. WAS. My source tells me that the blacksite lost contact with the corporation they belong to. What happened in there? Did the prisoners instigate a riot? Did another corp or a government entity take over? We don't know yet! It's simple as that. But when the time comes and more light is shed on this mystery, this'll be the first place to cover it! So stay tuned! Now... Some more Ashes A.D." The scene transitions to a car radio and there's a mysterious figure puffing smoke from a cigarette in the last panel.

  • Digital art comic. Panel 1: A man is driving a military APC with a serious look on his face. He has curly hair and an upside down cross tattooed on his forehead. He has a cigarette between his lips. He mutters: "Mattaku- that didn't take long. At least the radio guy was pretty vague about the info. Altough I don't know if that hole was the only one out here." An agitated voice next to him says: "Still! This shit isn't really ideal now is it?!" Panel 2: A view of car's tail lights and tires that are kicking up dirt and sand. The voice continues ranting: "We're driving a stolen militech APC and I'm sure that they're gonna send someone to look for it at some point! We should ditch this hunk of junk as soon as possible..." Panel 3: The man smirks slyly and answers sarcastically: "But what if I wanna keep it? This could actually look sick with some chrome details and underlights. Always dreamed of my own little reggae truck. Panel 4: A woman holding an assault rifle answers to the man in frustration: "Very fucking funny. You seem to be a little too relaxed given our current situation. I find that really disturbing. Panel 5: The woman continues: "And what the fuck is a reggae truck anyway?! You're just making shit up, aren't you?". The man answers confidently: "They have them in finland. My buddy Kale told me." The woman says in a laconic tone: "You're so full of shit". The APC is driving at high speed through a desert.

  • Digital art comic. Two people at the cockpit of an APC glance towards to the back of the vehicle. A voice in the passenger compartment says: " Choombas! Relax your cheeks. We did get out of that blacksite mostly unscathed, right?". The view pans to a muscular man on the next two panels. He has chemical burn scars on his face and he's wearing only a mini skirt. He continues: "Save that energy for the border po-pos. Speaking of customs -". There's a small monitor that beeps right next to him.

  • Digital art comic. A man crouches near a cryopod and says: "What are we gonna do with our popsicle passenger over here? Gonna be a bitch to explain to the border popos." A frustrated woman with a cybernetic eye answers in the next panel: "The answer is obvious: dump it on the side of the road. We're already neck-deep in shit as we are... Who knows who or what is in that cryo pod". The smug and arrogant driver replies to the woman with a wide grin while blowing smoke from a cigarette: "Okoranai... We're keeping the passenger". The woman is shocked and retaliates: "WHAT?! YOU'RE NOT SERIOUS ARE YOU?!". A vitals monitor can be seen showing some readings on the middle panel. The conversation continues as the smug man answers: "Oh I'm dead serious baby. See the model of that pod? Bodyweight-4000-SYN. High efficiency long term suspension. Whatever is in there is fucking valuable." The woman shoots back at the man with a snarky comment: "You just happen to know all this shit? Expect us to believe you?!" The man, bolstering with confidence, says: "Used to work at Trauma Team. I know this shit.

  • Digital art comic. First panel: a hand hangs a cigarette butt out of a car window. The angry speech bubbles say: Trauma team or not. That still helps fuck all with the border guards. Or are you gonna say that you've worked as a fucking border guard as well?!. The calm speech bubbles say: "Nah I haven't but I had to deal with them a lot. You'd be surprised how many tricks I've got up my sleeves. Trust me on this. Second panel: the cigarette but gets flicked out of the window. A content speech bubble says: Guess we have no other choice than to trust you, Yermu. The angry speech bubble rants: If the border guards gun me down because of an overconfident ex-corpo fuckboy, I'm gonna haunt all of your asses! The confident speech bubble answers: I didn't take you for a religious woman, Gina. Given how much you swear, haha. In the last three panels the cigarette butt falls to the concrete and a boot steps on it in the last one

  • Digital art comic. In the first panel, a woman stumps out a cigarette with her boot. She thinks to herself: gotta empty the fucking ashtray again. Can't be living like a pig. Not now at least when I've got a guest around. What do you think Roxie? Is she gonna stay? That gaja was so full of fire last night. Those types don't sit around and stay cozy. In the second panel the woman poses sassily and blows out her last smoke and sighs: foda-se. She's wrapped in two bath towels. One on head and one on body. In the third panel she continues her thoughts: Why am I helping her though? Is it because I often feel so small in this hellhole. So that I geel the need for someone to watch my back? I do feel safer with an amazon like her by my side. But I would like to believe that there's more to it than pure pragmatism. Can't one be pragmatic and cultivate meaningful friendships at the same time? Or are those motivations mutually exclusive? I wonder if she thinks that I'm gonna-. Her thoughts get interrupted as the buzzer rings: BZZZZZRRRRTT. She wonders: Huh? Doorbell at this time?

  • Digital art comic. First panel: A woman looks towards the door with sweat beads forming on her forehead. She thinks to herself: That's pretty odd. The "landlord" collects the rent every first wednesday. And I'm definitely not waiting for more guests right now. Could it be that Sif's gang followed me here somehow? Second panel: The woman steps inside her apartment and reaches for a pistol on the table. She thinks to herself: It wouldn't be out of the ordinary for her to have a homing tracer sender on her. And she's been away from her clan for two days now. Third panel: The woman steppes towards the viewer with a confident posture. She thinks to herself: Or it could be the ones who did a number on her on the first place. I was pretty careful to watch my back when I hauled her mangled ass back home. But a choom can't rule out the possibility that someone stalked me on the way home. No way to know unless I take a look through the peephole.. The doorbell rings loudly with a bzzzzrt sound once again.

  • Digital art comic. First panel: A woman looks through the door peeper with a pistol on her hand and thinks to herself: "Can't see anyone. Is someone trying to play games on me? Or did they give up and leave? Guess it was just a prank or a wrong address". Second panel: The woman listens with a surprised expression on her face. She hears a voice: "Umm... Miss Rojas?! Are you home". The woman thinks to herself: "A kid? I think I know that voice!. Third panel: The woman opens the door and greets the kid: "Bom dia, Pontus!" The kid looks at the woman concerned and asks: "Why you got a gun Miss Roja? You're not going to shoot me are you? Fourth panel: The woman lowers her gun and smirks at the kid and asks: "What?! Do I look like that much of a cyberpsycho to you?! Don't be ridiculous meu pequeno amigo! Why the hell would I do that? You need something or did you just come here to ask silly questions? Fifth panel: the kid points to his right with a worried look on his face and pleads: "Yeah, about that. The 69'ers are hanging around the vendit and..." The woman interjects: "And what?" The kid continues: " I'm kinda scared of them. Can you come with me? I'm starving for some snacks.
